Performance

Occupy Oakland, invited to the Sixth Annual Ankara Theater Festival, Turkey, 2012 – performance piece written by and performed with Tarnel Abbott with film montage, Set designer .

The Iron Heel adapted from the Jack London novel, performance piece, designed giant puppets and “cantastoria” commissioned by Eighth Annual Ankara Theater Festival, 2014, also performed at Berkeley City Club, and 2015, invited to perform at Jack London State Park, summer, 2016 in Oakland.

Nightmare on Puberty Street, Peace Signs, Bodywise, Set Design/Build for Kaiser Educational Theater for 3 traveling shows (Elementary, Middle and High School).

Artist work

 Artist for Richmond’s International Women’s Day – designed group art  projects 2016, 2015, 2013, 2012,2011 (Photography, silk screening, quiltmaking, collage).

Climate Change March, New York City, 2014 – collaborated on float with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and marched.

And with the Sunflower Alliance for Oakland, Climate March, 2015.

Artist-in-residence for Center for Human Development at Reeds Shields Community Center, North Richmond (2011-2013) developed ceramic art for a community garden with children (K-5) and developed geometry based painted wooden sculptures with teens and young adults.

 Teaching

2001-2014 The Aurora School in Oakland teaching set, costumes and props design for summer musicals, created an outdoor stage. Art workshops in mosaics, painting and drawing, puppetry, sculpture.

2009  Summer program with Alameda Light Opera and Alameda High School students in set painting.

2006 Guild Hall, Southampton, NY summer program.

1991-1997  UC Berkeley Drama Department as a Senior Scene Technician mentoring students in the design, construction and painting of sets for performances. ‘90’s

1997-1999 East Bay School of the Arts, middle school Art Teacher.

2000–2005 Art teaching, part time – In sculpture, drawing, painting, crafts in afterschool programs in several bay area locations; Marin Day School, Prospect Sierra, Adobe Art Center, Notre Dame de Victoire.

Tai chi teacher – in San Francisco and East bay, 2012-2015.
